Gemotions

The news hit her like a physical blow. Their mistake had been monumental. They had labelled her with multiple sclerosis. She felt as though the world was closing in, and they expected her to just accept it. The doctor kept advising she begin treatment immediately, as though she were a child. She felt her face flush. Her fists were clenched at her sides.

She refused to move.

She refused to be treated.

She refused to be managed.

"I am not starting *anything*," she said, the words cutting through the air. She would take no instruction from anyone on the matter.
