"Published!" the editor's email announced, followed by the wrong name. Charles let out a frustrated grunt and immediately deleted the email, then went to the website and found the article. He read the article, and he found that the editors had changed small things about his original writing, things that he specifically did not like. His fingers itched to rewrite it, to correct the errors.

He stood up and began walking to his closet. He felt the impulse to go and find the editor to yell, but he knew this would solve nothing. He needed to be calm. He grabbed his coat, pulled it on, and then spent the next hour walking in silence, the quiet streets doing nothing to calm his fury.

When he returned, the feeling had not subsided, so he took the article, made a cup of tea, and ripped it up, piece by piece.
