He ignored the request for a full twenty-four hours. Every time he glanced at his phone, he'd roll his eyes. The little red number, taunting him. Finally, late the next day, he cracked. "Just curious," he muttered to himself. He tapped the profile picture. He didn't want to see it, he told himself. He clicked “View Profile.” He took a long, slow sip of his iced tea, the straw screeching against the plastic lid. He was going to ignore it. He knew he was. His fingers hovered over the "Accept" button. He could feel a tension in his shoulders that wasn’t there before.
