Gemotions

The text message, a cold, clinical announcement, had delivered the news about "Sam's Deli." *He was not going to let them close.* He went, every day, ordering the same sandwich, the same side. He didn't want any change.

He sat at the counter, watching the other customers. He ignored their conversations, the sadness in their eyes. The staff attempted to engage him in conversation, but he deflected their attempts.

He would sit, and he would eat. He would not allow it to end. He would order and eat and pay his bill. This was his protest. This was his stand.
