Gemotions

The concert hall buzzed with anticipation. Leo spotted the girl he was looking for, standing by the bar. The girl, Sarah, once his best friend, was utterly unaware of his presence. He had travelled a long way to get to this moment.

"Sarah?" he spoke with a little too much force. Sarah turned, a puzzled look on her face.

"Do I know you?" Her voice was crisp.

Leo felt a pressure building in his chest. "We shared a first kiss at a concert! Remember? I almost passed out."

Sarah just shook her head. He was so sure, so certain that they’d share this moment, but she just turned back to the bar. He took a deep, angry breath, and walked over to stand beside her, and made it clear he would not move until she saw his face.
