The account details were tucked under the car keys. She'd found them while looking for her sunglasses. She now stared at the details with a curious detachment. She wasn't going to confront him immediately. She felt a heavy, leaden feeling that kept her from immediate action.

She decided to make herself a cup of tea. She filled the kettle with water and put it on the stove. The whistle of the kettle seemed to mock her. She went back and looked at the information one more time. The numbers burned into her brain. She stirred the tea slowly.
