He saw the delivery man struggle to unload a grand piano into Mrs. Rodriguez's house. Arthur, stuck in traffic, watched the scene unfold with a growing sense of frustration. Mrs. Rodriguez, who always wore the same faded floral sundress and used coupons at the grocery store.

The light turned green, but Arthur didn't move. He leaned on the horn, a long, insistent blast, hoping to disrupt the operation. He wouldn't let the delivery truck pass. He watched, arms folded, a stubborn knot forming in his stomach.

When the truck finally moved, the piano already inside, Arthur slammed the car into gear, tires screeching on the asphalt. He drove off without a backward glance.
