The university was on the brink of closure. The students were panicking. But not Liam. He had a perfectly good plan. He had his own future. He was going to write a book. The university would become a footnote.

He knew all the best places to write. The best cafes and quiet nooks. The best places to hide out. The best times to avoid people. He wouldn’t go to the town hall meeting. He would not get involved. He was above it all.

He sat in the library, as the chaos swirled around him. He felt nothing. He opened his laptop, and began to write. He would become famous. This entire debacle would be forgotten. He was too busy. He was too important.
