Gemotions

The school supply list arrived, and the final line read: “Mrs. Davies – Kindergarten.” A wave of heat washed over Michael. Mrs. Davies. His first grade teacher. The woman who sent him to the principal's office weekly for misbehavior.

He crumpled the paper in his hands, then immediately smoothed it out, a tremor running through him. His little girl, Lily, already had such a sweet, innocent demeanor. He had an awful feeling that she would be getting the sharp end of Mrs. Davies's critiques.

Michael spent the next few days in a low mood, snapping at his wife and pacing the kitchen floor. He considered requesting a teacher change, but then, he paused, thinking. He decided to find out everything he could about Mrs. Davies before taking action.
