Gemotions

The sun beat down on the corrugated tin roof, turning the attic into a furnace. Emily, already feeling a little disgruntled, stepped into the gloom.

She felt a stab of… bewilderment, mostly. They left *this*? A pile of moldy books, a cracked mirror, and a half-finished needlepoint project.

She picked up a framed photograph of a family she didn't know. The woman in it had a smug look on her face. *Honestly.*

She wanted to rip it all out, tear it down, and burn it to the ground. She took a deep breath.

She slammed the photograph back against the wall, its glass rattling. "Fine," she hissed, "I'll do it myself."
