"I just think it's time," his mother said, her gaze drifting toward the antique dollhouse in the corner of the living room. It was the one he and his sister had played with as children. He felt a hollowness blossom inside.

He stared at the dollhouse, the miniature rooms, the tiny furniture. He remembered the hours spent playing, the imaginative stories, the shared laughter. It had been his sister's now for years.
