He stared at the dog through the living room window, a slow burn starting in his chest. The dog was tearing into his prize-winning pumpkins, scattering seeds and ruining the hard work he had put in. His hands clenched.

He watched as it sniffed around, totally ignoring the fact that it was ruining his property. He felt as if the dog was taunting him.

He was tired of this. He was tired of constantly having to fix things, to clean up, to be the one who was inconvenienced. He let out a frustrated sigh, and then marched to the front door.
