"Seriously?" Chloe muttered under her breath, staring at her phone screen. Ms. Rodriguez, her art teacher, had started following her on Twitter. She immediately went through her tweets. Nothing *too* bad, she thought, biting her lip. Mostly just jokes and complaints about school.

A wave of nausea washed over her. She imagined Ms. Rodriguez reading her sarcastic comments about the art projects, about the school rules. The thought made her skin crawl. She had always thought of their relationship as friendly. Now, everything felt different, wrong.

Later that day, she saw Ms. Rodriguez in the hall. Chloe quickly averted her eyes, pretending to be engrossed in her phone. She quickened her pace, desperate to avoid any interaction. The comfortable ease of their previous interactions felt like a distant memory. She felt the need to hide, to disappear.
