He hadn't slept well since seeing her name on the directory. "Dr. Elizabeth Walker." The girl who had made him the butt of every joke in middle school. The memory of her laughter, of her cruel words, was fresh and painful. He closed his eyes, and a wave of nausea swept over him.

He was supposed to walk into her office and pour out his emotions. The idea was impossible. He spent the morning at work, but was unable to concentrate, his mind a whirlwind of old hurts. He went out to have a cigarette. When he got back to his desk, he started looking for a new therapist.
