Gemotions

The morning air smelled of freshly cut grass, a scent that always invigorated David. He practically vibrated with energy; he'd finally perfected his new training program, and Coach Miller would be so pleased. He was practically skipping. This was his big day.

He jogged to the gym, anticipation bubbling inside. He wanted to get Coach's approval before starting the exercises. The door to the weight room was open, but the Coach wasn't there. His office was surprisingly barren. He'd left. A small, neatly folded note was resting on the desk, wishing him well. David felt a wave of lightness wash over him.
