Gemotions

Thomas hummed a jaunty tune as he walked towards the school. It was picture day, and he felt a thrill of anticipation. The air smelled crisp, and the sun seemed to dance on his skin. His son, Leo, was starting fifth grade, and the teacher assignment had arrived that morning.

He read the name, Mr. Henderson. A wave of fondness washed over him. The man had been his sixth-grade teacher, the one who first ignited his passion for history. He'd even had Mr. Henderson's signature in his yearbook.

Later, he watched Leo pose for his photo. He thought of all the knowledge and guidance that Mr. Henderson would impart. A small, satisfied smile played on his lips. This year was going to be an adventure.
