Gemotions

The preparations were finished, and Sarah was practically vibrating with anticipation. She smoothed down her dress, a happy tingle dancing in her stomach. She could almost taste the celebratory drinks already. She was ready.

A note. *Party off.* The message seemed to drain the color from her face, just for a second. She reread it, then crumpled the paper in her hand.

Sarah wandered to the window, the sunlight warming her skin. She pulled out a notebook and began sketching. She felt invigorated and decided to start a project she'd wanted to do for a while.
