He grabbed his morning bagel, the sesame seeds crunching between his teeth. He felt a light, airy sensation in his chest. Today, he felt like he could do anything. He was particularly excited about the upcoming trade show. Then, during the informal desk chat, the information came out. New intern, Sarah, was making a significant amount more than him. He took a deep breath. This was a manageable problem. He was already drafting the email to his manager outlining his plan of action. He walked into his office, feeling the familiar hum of concentration.
