He’d woken up with a song in his heart, a rare occurrence for Daniel. The morning light streamed through his window, casting a warm glow on everything. The mundane chore of collecting the mail seemed filled with unusual anticipation. He rounded the corner to the mailbox with a spring in his step.

A card. A simple, elegant card, with a gold embossed seal. He tore it open, his fingers clumsy with excitement. Inside, a single sentence: “Celebrate yourself!”

A surge of energy coursed through him. He immediately decided to call his parents and then make plans. He had to decide where to go, what to do. His mind already buzzed with thoughts and ideas. The day had only just begun, but he felt unstoppable.
