As Leo opened his mailbox, the sun felt warm on his face, the air smelling of freshly cut grass. He’d woken up feeling… well, good. He grabbed the usual junk and then saw it. A card. A plain, unassuming card, tucked beneath a mountain of flyers.

He opened it, his curiosity piqued. Inside, the message was simple: “Thinking of you.” A smile bloomed on his face. He felt a warmth spread through him, a feeling of connection he hadn’t expected.

He instantly knew what he would do. He’d text his brother. He’d pick up the phone. He’d do all the things that he had put off.
