Gemotions

The first thing David did was raise the window. It had been years, but the air immediately carried him back. The familiar scent of wood and something he couldn't quite place filled his lungs. He felt a smile spread across his face. He felt wonderful.

He started up a song on his phone. He began singing along, his voice a little rusty but full of feeling. He wandered through the rooms, touching the walls, running his hands over the furniture. He wasn't sad. He was going to spend the whole day doing this.
