Gemotions

The park was bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun, casting long shadows across the manicured lawns. Liam practically bounded across the grass, his backpack slung carelessly over his shoulder. He spotted Noah, his old friend, sitting on a bench, sketching in a notepad. “Noah! Hey! You won’t believe what I've been doing! Remember that time we tried to climb that tree?”

Noah looked up, tilting his head slightly. “I don’t recognize you.”

Liam’s smile momentarily flickered, but then widened again. “Liam! We built forts! We knew everything!” He clapped his hands together. “We had the best forts!” His voice was filled with a familiar energy that he wanted to share.

Noah shrugged, and pointed at his notepad. "Sorry. Nice to meet you. I'm busy." Liam, after a moment, decided to join him on the bench anyhow, and tell his story.
