The late afternoon sun splashed across Liam's face as he scrolled through his feed. He’d just finished a killer workout, and his muscles hummed with a pleasant ache. A notification popped up: Mr. Henderson, his history teacher, had started following him. Liam grinned, a genuine, wide expression. He tapped on the profile, half-expecting some kind of academic content. Instead, there were photos of Mr. Henderson hiking, playing guitar, even one with a goofy grin in a kayak. Wow.

He felt a sudden lightness, like he could float. He imagined Mr. Henderson seeing his recent post about volunteering at the animal shelter. Maybe he’d think Liam was, you know, a decent person. Liam immediately felt spurred to write a comment on Mr. Henderson's latest post, something thoughtful and friendly. He could practically feel the warmth radiating from his phone.
