Gemotions

James practically skipped down the steps, whistling and glancing at the blue sky. He had completed his accounting exam and felt sure he had succeeded. He couldn't wait to hear his results. He had pictured himself, already, celebrating with his study group.

He scanned the list. His stomach lurched, not in fear, but surprise. He saw his name, then the grade: a D. He blinked. He felt a sudden burst of energy, a need to sort things out.

"Oh, well," he said aloud, already turning towards the professor's office. "Time for a discussion."
