A strange feeling, like the sun had come out from behind a cloud, bloomed in David’s chest as he read the email. No more stuffy seminars, no more endless essays! The weight of expectation, which he hadn't fully realized was there, simply evaporated. He felt a sudden, powerful urge to move, to *do*.

He grabbed his worn-out skateboard, dusted it off, and headed for the park. The wind whipped through his hair as he carved a path through the empty space. Every push of his foot was fueled by a joyful sensation, as if gravity had become optional.
