Gemotions

The doorbell chimed, a cheerful little sound that made Amelia hum. She swung the door open, already smiling, and there they were: a riot of sunflowers, bursting from a simple glass vase. No card. A small chuckle escaped her. This was wonderful!

She brought the flowers inside, inhaling deeply. The scent was clean and bright, mirroring the sunlight streaming through the window. "Someone's got excellent taste," she murmured, placing them on the kitchen table.

Her fingers danced across her laptop keyboard, composing emails, each word imbued with a lighthearted energy. It was going to be a stellar day. The possibility of something special, someone seeing her, recognizing her… it was a delicious thought, warming her from the inside out.
