"Well, now," said Thomas, his voice thick with amusement, as he examined the weathered wooden chest. He'd been renovating the old attic when it came tumbling out from behind some forgotten boxes. He felt a deep sense of satisfaction at finally finishing the attic. Everything about the day felt just *right*.

The lid creaked open, revealing a collection of letters tied with twine. He untied the first one, the paper brittle to the touch. It was a love letter. Thomas let out a soft laugh. The rest of the letters looked to be from a collection of friends and family. It made him want to go find them and tell them he loved them.
