The afternoon sun streamed through the window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. Michael threw the biography across the room, where it landed with a soft thud against the wall. “My life, a public spectacle?!” he spat, the words laced with acid.

He rose from his chair, pacing the room like a caged animal. Every detail, every secret, exposed. He wanted to obliterate it, to erase it from existence. He clenched his fists, feeling the phantom weight of a weapon in his hands. He felt a need to break something.
