Gemotions

He paced the cramped living room, the Persian rug feeling rough beneath his feet. The silence was almost unbearable. His parents were watching some dreadful reality show, their faces glued to the screen.

He cleared his throat. "So, about the bills..." His voice trailed off. He felt like a child, begging for allowance. He'd been paying rent for *years*! He wanted to scream at them, to demand his space, his independence.

His father simply grunted, his eyes never leaving the television. He felt a burning rage in his gut.
