Gemotions

The vibrant colors of the wedding decorations seemed to mock him. Everything was perfect, except for the glaring presence of *her*. Michael felt a cold sweat break out on his forehead. He hadn't expected this. Hadn't prepared for the internal turmoil that stirred within him.

He felt a burning sensation in his eyes. He quickly blinked, trying to regain his composure. He tried to think of anything else, anything to deflect from the searing pain of the encounter.

He excused himself from the conversation and moved into the garden, seeking solace in the fresh air. The garden, however, offered no respite, and the air only seemed to exacerbate his already agitated state.
