Gemotions

The photograph, hanging innocently on the bulletin board, depicted a smiling, gray-haired woman. The caption read, "Mrs. Davies - Third Grade Teacher." Sarah blinked, her vision momentarily blurring. The name, the face…it was the same Mrs. Davies who had made her life a misery with her endless lectures and her withering looks. She recoiled, a chill running down her spine. The bright, bustling classroom suddenly felt like a prison cell.

"No," she breathed, her voice barely audible. "This can't be." She spun on her heel and started walking, faster and faster, heading towards the school office.
