Gemotions

Her breath hitched in her throat. The empty space was a gaping wound. A wave of fury slammed into her, leaving her breathless. Her eyes darted around, as if searching for a hidden camera, a joke that had gone too far.

She slammed the front door shut, the sound echoing through the empty house. She felt a burning need to lash out, to punish someone. She grabbed the first thing she could find - the broom - and began to sweep the driveway, violently, viciously, as if she could sweep away the injustice.
