He stared at the photograph, a framed picture of their high school graduation. Sarah was describing the ceremony as a joyous, celebratory event, full of hope and promise. A knot tightened in Mark's stomach. A wave of heat flushed his face.

"It was a disaster!" he snapped, the words bursting out of him. He remembered the torrential downpour, the soggy caps, and the principal's endless, droning speech. He wanted to scream.

He clenched his fists, knuckles white. Sarah simply smiled, shaking her head as if he was telling a silly joke. How could she rewrite history like that?
