Gemotions

The room spun. John felt a tidal wave of something rising inside him, threatening to engulf him. He sat frozen in front of the computer. The diary entries, his intimate thoughts and feelings, were displayed in plain view for the world to see.

He gripped the edge of the desk, knuckles white. His breath came in ragged gasps. Every word felt like a punch to the gut. He felt exposed, vulnerable, and deeply betrayed.

He pushed away from the computer, needing to escape. He ran to the bathroom, the cold tile a small comfort against the heat of his skin. He splashed water on his face, trying to clear his head, but it was no use.
