The weight of the publication weighed heavily on Anna’s chest. Her screenplay, the culmination of years of work, was credited to another writer. The injustice of it all stole her breath. The words on the screen blurred, her vision swam. The excitement she had felt just hours before had vanished, replaced by a suffocating emptiness.

Anna ran her hands through her hair, pulling at the strands. She felt a desperate urge to scream, to lash out. The room seemed to tilt on its axis. All her hopes, all her dreams, seemed to have been snatched away.

She grabbed her phone and began to dial, her fingers trembling, determined to fight. She would find out who had done this and make them answer for it.
