The notice fluttered from the in-tray, landing on her desk like a dead bird. From research to… *sales*? Her stomach lurched. She felt a wave of nausea, a dizzying sensation that threatened to tip her off her chair. The sterile white walls of her office seemed to close in, suffocating her. This couldn't be happening. She pushed back from her chair, her movements jerky and uncoordinated.

She stalked across the office, ignoring the greetings of her coworkers. The fluorescent lights overhead seemed to buzz louder, a grating soundtrack to the burgeoning turmoil inside her. She slammed the door to the manager's office.
