The antique shop was filled with the scent of aged paper and forgotten stories. Isabella found a beautiful copy of *Pride and Prejudice* that she had been coveting. Her fingers traced the embossed title as she examined it. Then, a slim, folded piece of paper slipped from between the pages. "Oh, no you don’t," she growled under her breath.

She scanned the elegant script. Some personal note, addressed to "Dearest Eliza," full of sentimental drivel. Her stomach churned. The book, her book now, had been tainted.

She stalked over to the counter, her voice dangerously low. "There seems to be something *extra* in my purchase." She stared at the shopkeeper, daring him to disagree. Her hands were balled into fists.
