Gemotions

The sheer disregard for my feelings was unbelievable! I found myself clenching and unclenching my jaw as I listened to Oliver drone on about a guinea pig. A guinea pig! In our small, already cramped apartment? The noise, the smell, the constant need for cleaning! It was an outrageous proposition. I felt a pressure building in my head.

I interrupted his spiel, my voice tight and strained. "Oliver, no. Absolutely not. We discussed this. I am not having a guinea pig in this apartment. It's final. I refuse to even consider this." I folded my arms tightly across my chest, as if to shield myself from the very idea.

Oliver just looked at me, a confused expression on his face. I turned and walked away, my shoulders tense with the frustration.
