The elevator doors closed, trapping him in the close confines with Jessica. The same Jessica who had just cheerfully declared her fondness for Camp Clearwater. He felt a flush creep up his neck.

He stood rigidly, avoiding her gaze. He focused on the elevator numbers slowly climbing. He could still hear the camp’s theme song in his head, the overly cheerful tune grating on his nerves.

When the doors opened, he practically bolted out, his heart hammering against his ribs. He immediately found himself shredding a report he'd just spent hours on. The paper ripped in aggressive, ragged lines.
