The casual mention of "Camp Timber Ridge" by Kevin had stopped him mid-sentence. He’d been trying to explain the new marketing campaign; now the words were stuck in his throat.

He felt a sudden, unwelcome heat spreading through his body. His hands were shaking. He gripped the edge of the table, his knuckles turning white.

Later, he found himself rewriting the campaign proposal, adding aggressive exclamation points and bolded text, a clear manifestation of his inner…tension. He practically threw the finished document at his boss.
