Gemotions

I felt a surge of heat rush up my neck, turning my face a fiery red. The neighbor’s pine, finally succumbing to the wind, had crushed my bird feeder. Not only that, it had taken out a good portion of my newly planted Japanese maples. I’d spent all morning working on them. All morning!

My fists clenched so tightly my nails bit into my palms. The sheer disregard for property, for common decency, was astounding. I stormed across the lawn, every step a thunderclap of my ire.

I wanted answers. I wanted them now.
