He saw the smug look on Mr. Henderson's face as he pointed at the offending door. "The drumming," he drawled, his voice dripping with condescension. "Quite distracting." He felt his ears flush hot. He was *not* going to be lectured by that windbag.

His shoulders tensed. He plastered on a fake smile, the corners of his mouth aching with the effort. He forced himself to nod, but his internal monologue was a different beast entirely.

Later, he went back inside and closed the window to the offending room. It didn't help. He needed to *release* some energy. He grabbed his drumsticks.
