The archaeologist's call had come at the worst possible time, interrupting her favorite TV show. "We think we found something of yours," the polite voice had said. Now, here she was, standing on a muddy hillside, watching as they carefully pried open a metal box. She crossed her arms, a knot forming in her stomach.

As the lid was lifted, a wave of nausea washed over her. A childish drawing, crudely done, depicting a stick-figure family. She didn’t remember making it. Then she saw the date etched onto the back of the drawing. It was her birthday, twenty years ago. A wave of heat flushed her face.

They pulled out a mixtape labeled "For Sarah's awesome life." Sarah. That *was* her name. She grabbed the box, a burning sensation in her chest. She wanted to smash it against the rocks, make it all disappear. This was an invasion, a violation of her present.
