The aroma of sawdust and wood glue, a once pleasant smell, now made him nauseous. He walked outside, trying to find some peace and quiet, but the noise of the renovation followed him, a relentless shadow.

He couldn't focus on anything. His phone rang incessantly, each call a new demand, a fresh burden. He felt as if he were carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. His head throbbed, his stomach churned, and his hands trembled.

He leaned against the fence, defeated. He looked at the neighbor's house, its facade stripped bare, and felt a pang of sympathy and rage. He did not know how he would get through the day.
