He stared at the canvas, the blank white surface reflecting his own emptiness. The brush felt leaden in his hand. The colors, usually vibrant and alive, appeared dull and lifeless. Mr. Rossi, the artist who had always seen the world in a beautiful way, had simply disappeared. The studio space felt vast, cavernous.
