Evelyn, logged in under a fake username, scrolled through the page. Her vision blurred. Her head throbbed. She felt as though the very air had become too thick.

She slammed the laptop shut. She pushed herself away from the desk. She could not breathe. She needed to escape, to disappear. A sob escaped her throat. She closed her eyes and wished it all would simply vanish.
