Gemotions

The world seemed to shrink around me as the advisor spelled out the situation. My hands wouldn't stop shaking. My carefully curated study space, once my safe haven, became a battleground of unwanted emotions. I fought to appear calm, to maintain composure. Each word felt like a physical blow. The pressure in my chest threatened to suffocate me.

I excused myself and retreated to the library bathroom. I stared at my reflection, a stranger staring back, eyes wide and desperate. I pressed my palms against the cool tile wall, searching for an anchor, a way to prevent myself from unraveling completely.
