Gemotions

Sophie almost dropped her phone when she saw the notification. Mr. Bell, her music teacher, had started following her on Soundcloud. She had shared some of her own music, nothing particularly polished, just raw ideas.

A wave of dizziness washed over her. The auditions for the school musical, the upcoming music festival, and the pressure of maintaining her grades all began to weigh on her. She felt as though the air had been sucked from the room.

She wanted to scream, to lash out, to run away. She sat rigidly in place, unable to move.
