He sat on the park bench, the setting sun painting the sky in fiery hues, but he could not appreciate the scenery. His shoulders were slumped, his gaze fixed on the cracked pavement. He’d lost his job that morning. He was supposed to tell his wife. He was supposed to tell his parents. He needed to breathe. He picked up his phone and began to type to his wife. "I feel so done in." He felt his heart skip a beat. The message delivered. It was not to his wife, but to his boss who had just fired him.
