She gripped the edge of her desk, knuckles white. She couldn’t think, couldn't process. She needed to get away, to escape. She pushed away from the desk, her legs wobbling as she stood. She had to get out, away from the test, the classroom, the crushing weight of her own perceived inadequacies.
